Way too loud, but PFunk still has it
I don't shed tears when this club closes, as I don't like the way it is run. The sound was pretty bad -- way, way too loud. The opening act was torture (also way too loud); they were trying to do some weird hybrid of R&B, Metal, and Janis Joplin. We recorded one song on a mobile phone and it sounded better on the phone than it did live. PFunk is still PFunk, meaning they were great; the rumor is that La Original Banda El Limon is retiring in about a year, so be sure to catch them. I heard PFunk many years ago at a different club and the sound was far better even though the band was bigger -- still really loud, but not too loud to hear it properly.

La Original Banda El Limon provided a great night of music. The laser light show was definitely stepped up a notch, and the spacious venue was impressive. I had not been to the AT&T Center since it moved into the La Original Banda El Limon. I had forgotten how many great songs they have. They played all the favorites. Although the AT&T Center did not sell out, there were probably 15-16 thousand people there. I took my oldest grandson with me, it was his first rodeo. He is 4 1/2 years old and he sat totally entertained thru the whole event. Hearing everyone sing "I Can Only Imagine" was pretty powerful. They had the audience participating dancing and of course singing.
